LOWELL’S MOVE TO THE ALTERNATE SITE
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q1: When will school resume for Lowell students?
A: Wednesday, February 27 at the new alternative location.
Q2: How will students be transported to the temporary location?
A: Those who currently ride a bus will continue as normal from their usual stops at the usual times. Any walkers or students who are dropped off will be bused to the temporary location from Lowell’s campus each morning and returned at the end of the school day to follow usual dismissal procedures.
Q3: Will breakfast and lunch be provided?
A: Yes. Meals will be delivered to the new location and served in a common area.
Q4: Will students have access to before/after school care through the YWCA as they do now?
A: Yes. The YWCA has committed to running their program as scheduled in the new building.
Q5: When will school resume at Lowell?
A: August. The repair work is scheduled to be completed in time for the start of the new school year.
Q6: Where will the front office be located in the new temporary space?
A: The main entrance of the AEA conference center will serve as the main office. The main entrance of the building faces to the west, just off of Cedar Heights Drive. Office staff will be located inside that entry point.
