Helping Students & Schools, Helping the Community
Each August, over 10,500 students in our community begin a new school year, eager for new opportunities and exciting challenges. They don’t have to do this alone – generous people throughout the community support their journey by giving time, talent, and treasures to ensure every child is equipped for a successful year. Join us to make sure our kids start the new year off on the right foot.
How to Support? The following are three opportunities to help support students’ school readiness:
- Donate Funds 🡪 If you want your gift to have the largest impact, we suggest making financial contributions rather than donating items. Our partner organizations are able to leverage funds to go even further and reallocate as new needs emerge throughout the year. A $1 cash donation can go further than $10 worth of items thanks to our outstanding collaborators.
You can donate directly to the Waterloo Community Schools Foundation. From their homepage, there is a DONATE button that will take you through the process. Those funds will be placed in a restricted fund to be distributed within the District on a case-by-case basis (dependent on need).
- Donate Items through programs 🡪 Reference the opportunities by category:
