It is Dr. Walter Cunningham School for Excellence mission to create a safe, positive, and purposeful learning environment that meets the needs of all learners and exudes pride and excellence.
The Dr. Walter Cunningham School for Excellence is a preschool through fifth grade public school in Waterloo, Iowa. The school features state of the art facilities and excellent academic opportunities for all students.
The school has been named for Dr. Walter Cunningham, a long time teacher, principal and mentor for the Waterloo Community School District. Dr. Cunningham had a vision of excellence for the students and teachers in the Waterloo Schools. One of Walt’s favorite sayings:, “If it is to be, it is up to me”, has been adopted as the school’s motto.
