The Board of Education is established by the Constitution of the State of Iowa and the statutes enacted by the Iowa General Assembly. The Board sets policy and provides general direction for the school district in accordance with the laws of Iowa, policies and regulations of the District and the expressed will of the community. The Board of Education has seven members who are each elected for a term of four years (or complete an unexpired term of a regularly elected member). Four members shall be elected from director districts and three shall be elected at large.
