Current Voluntary Transfer option for the 19/20 school year is currently available at this time. The Voluntary Transfer deadline will be June 30, 2019.
Parents may access the Voluntary Transfer forms at the following locations:
- Education Service Center
- Middle Schools
- District Website
The only Voluntary Transfers that may be considered for approval are listed below:
- Orange to Poyner
- Cunningham, Lincoln or Becker can apply within these three schools
- Carver and Central to Bunger
- West to East or Expo
- East to Expo
Due to space availability there will be NO transfers into Highland, Kingsley, Lou Henry, Lowell, Orange, Hoover or West.
Families interested in busing will need to apply via a Pay Transportation Application through Durham School Services. Please note that transportation is not guaranteed.
Please be aware that each student’s Attendance and Behavior Policies/Procedures will continue to be a requirement and will be monitored. If Attendance/ Behavior become an issue, your student’s Voluntary Student Transfer can be revoked and they will need to attend his/her home school.
If you are requesting removal from the Voluntary Student Transfer Program (V.S.T.P.), written permission must be submitted to the Executive Director of Student and At Risk Services at the Education Service Center by August 1, 2019.
