Drop Off / Pick Up Procedures

Poyner Drop-Off Procedures:

If your child:  Rides a bus, Walks, or  Rides a bike

• They will ride/walk/be dropped off by bus to the front entrance of the building.

• They are dropped off on the west side of the building and walk to their playground blacktop to line up with their classroom.  Teachers pick up students from here at 8:40.
• Y-Care students should knock on the door labeled “Y-Care Entrance”.  This door is located in cafeteria.  You can park in the bus lane to drop off and pick up your child from Y-Care.

Poyner Pick-up Procedures:

If your child:    Rides a bus, Walks, or  Rides a bike

• They will  exit the main entrance of the building and get on their bus or head home.

If your child gets picked up from a private vehicle, person on foot

• Students will exit the west side of the building by the staff parking lot and gym and line up on their class number.
• Drivers should remain in their vehicles, pull up to the lines, wait for the student to enter the vehicle, then continue on to Central Ave.
• Be sure you turn right onto Central to keep traffic flowing. Do not park in the Hug and Go lines! If you choose to walk up to the building, or get out of your vehicle, you need to park in the parking lot, then walk up to the front of the building. We need to keep traffic moving and our students safe.

Y-Care students should be picked up from “Y-Care Entrance”  located in the cafeteria.
