Degree in Three
An accelerated path to teaching elementary education
Earn your elementary education degree with his new Cedar Valley Degree Links program offered by the Waterloo Community School District, Hawkeye Community College, and the University of Northern Iowa.
The Degree in Three for elementary education builds on courses and experiences at each level to streamline the process while ensuring you’ll meet all standards to be licensed in Iowa. This includes:
-Beginning early to fulfill the general education requirements that you’ll need for both your associate’s and bachelor’s degrees.
-Getting credit for field experiences beginning as early as high school.
-Putting you in a position to concentrate on gaining the experience, understanding of teaching methods and final preparation to lead your own classroom in your final two years at UNI.
-Completing your student teaching and being ready to apply for licensure.
-With all three partners working together, you can count on smooth transitions from high school to Hawkeye Community College to UNI.
