4th Grade Mystery Skype

The 4th grade students in Ms. Green’s class have participated in a Mystery Skype with another class in the US. The goal of a Mystery Skype is for the students to use map skills to determine the location of the other school. Using Skype, students ask yes/no questions to seek out information about the location of where the other school is calling. Each 4th grader is assigned a job, but working together, the class is able to determine the state in which the other school resides. Another aspect of the Mystery Skype is knowing where Iowa is located in the USA, as the students have to answer incoming yes/no questions from the other school. It is a great way to learn geography, speaking, and collaboration skills!
