5th Grade Graduation 2021
Dear 5th Grade Families,
It is hard to believe the time has come to start preparing for 5th grade graduation and for the students to move on to middle school. To honor the time the students have spent in elementary school, we will be hosting graduation ceremonies on the last day of school, Wednesday, June 2nd. Like many things this year, we have had to adjust our normal procedures due to COVID-19, so each 5th grade class will have a separate ceremony. The specific times are listed below.
Wednesday, June 2nd
Ms. Henson- 9:15
Mr. Knebel- 10:00
Mrs. Carlson & Mrs. Stein- 2:15
Ms. Frost & Mrs. Steege- 2:45
Please be aware that the ceremonies will begin promptly at the scheduled time so we can accommodate all of the classes. We apologize, but only 2 adults per child will be allowed. Please enter through the cafeteria doors for your temperature check and head straight to the gymnasium. Feel free to take pictures outside after the ceremony. On your way out, you may grab a treat to take with you. The students will be able to check out with their teacher by the side gym door if you choose to take your student home early.
Thank You,
Mrs. Carlson, Mrs. Stein, Mr. Knebel,
Ms. Henson, Mrs. Steege, & Ms. Frost

2020-2021 Bike Winners!
During the week of April 12-16, all K-5 students at Highland had opportunities to earn tickets for the bike drawing. K-2 students could each earn one book ticket each day by reading in the classroom. 3-5 students earned effort tickets by putting forth effort during each of the different ISASP tests. On Wednesday, April 21st tickets were drawn and one girl and one boy in each grade level won a brand new bike!

Congratulations to this year’s winners and THANK YOU to all Highland students for reading in the classroom and putting forth your best effort!
